Privacy Policy

1.  COLLECTION OF INFORMATION 

A.  Purpose.  The information we learn from customers allows us to personalize and continually improve the total experience at BankICAN. Here are the types of information we gather.

1.  User Supplied Information. We receive and store any information you enter on our Site or give us in any other way.  Information that we collect can be:  Account details, name and address, e-mail address, phone number and any information you submit and accompanying information.  This list is not exclusive, and may be altered without notice based on information that you supply voluntarily.   

2.  “Purchase Order” “Franchise Application” “Submit A Site.”  When you fill out and submit any of these three forms BankICAN forwards the completed forms to the applicable end user for response.  BankICAN does not electronically store any user supplied information that appears on these forms.

C.  Cookies.

1.  User Choices.  All web browsers have the ability to accept cookies, reject cookies, or to prompt the user before accepting them.  The help portion of the toolbar of your browser will tell you how to select the option that suits you best.  However, disabling the acceptance of cookies will not allow you to take full advantage of some of the best and most advanced features that we have to offer, and we recommend that you leave them turned on.

            2.  This Policy Not Applicable to Other Companies.  BankICAN may allow other companies that show advertisements on some of our pages set and access their cookies on your computer. Other companies' use of their cookies is subject to their own privacy policies, not this one. Advertisers or other companies do not have access to BankICAN's cookies.

2.  SHARING OF INFORMATION

A.  General.  The information that we collect about our customers is critical to our business.  We respect and value this information, and do not want to jeopardize the flow of information between our users and the Site.  Therefore, we are not in the business of selling this information to other websites or businesses.  There are very limited circumstances where we do share some customer information, and this is outlined immediately below.  We share customer information only as described below and with affiliates, subsidiaries or franchisees of BankICAN  that either are subject to this Privacy Notice or follow practices at least as protective as those described in this Privacy Notice.

1.  Purchase Orders.  When you submit a completed “Purchase Order” form BankICAN forwards the completed form to a BankICAN store or franchise to review and reply to your request.   

2.  Franchise Application.  When you submit a completed “Franchise Application” form BankICAN forwards the completed form to the BankICAN department responsible for reviewing and replying to such requests.

3.  Submit a Site.  When you submit a completed “Submit a Site” form BankICAN forwards the completed form to the BankICAN department responsible for reviewing and replying to such requests.

4.  Protection of BankICAN and Others.  It is sometimes necessary to release account and other personal information when we believe it is appropriate to comply with the law; enforce or apply our terms of use and other agreements; or protect the rights, property, or safety of BankICAN, our users, or others. This includes exchanging information with other companies and organizations for fraud protection and credit risk reduction. Under no circumstances, however, does this include selling, renting, sharing, or otherwise disclosing personally identifiable information from customers for commercial purposes in violation of the commitments set forth in this privacy policy.  

3.  USER CHOICES WITH REGARD TO ACCESS OF INFORMATION

B.  Cookie Choices.  The Help portion of the toolbar on most browsers will tell you how to prevent your browser from accepting new cookies, how to have the browser notify you when you receive a new cookie, or how to disable cookies altogether. However, affecting the acceptance of cookies means that you will not be able to use such important features as accelerated ordering and customized product suggestions. 

C.  Anonymous browsing.  A large number of products may be accessed without the use of cookies, or anonymously.  See the website for a list of items that may be accessed anonymously.  In addition, the Federal Trade Commission provides useful information about online privacy on its own website, “Site Seeing on the Internet.”

4.  CONDITIONS OF USE, NOTICES, AND REVISIONS

A.  Acceptance of Terms and Conditions.  By visiting BankICAN, you accept that your visit and any dispute over privacy is subject to this Notice and our Terms and Conditions, including limitations on damages, arbitration of disputes, and application of the law of the state of Michigan, County of Oakland. 

B.  Modifications.  Because our business changes constantly, we reserve the right to periodically revise our Privacy Notice and the Terms and Conditions. 

C.  Applicability.  Unless stated otherwise, our current Privacy Notice applies to all information that we have about you.
